For more than seven decades, The Homestead has been a family home in the foothills of the Himalayas, on the edge of Corbett Country. It began in the 1950s as a pioneering farm, started by Dr. Inder Puri and his wife Sheila among forests, grasslands and wildlife. Today it is a boutique country retreat set among old trees and orchards of mango and litchi, its soul unchanged: simple, warm and close to the wild.

A farm stay, not a resort, though it has everything a resort near Jim Corbett would: a pool, a jacuzzi, mini golf, pickleball and an observatory.
About five and a half hours by road from Delhi, a little more from Gurgaon and Noida: 250 km up NH9 to Ramnagar, then fifteen minutes to the farm. Most guests come for two nights.

Dinner is North Indian home cooking on a set menu, at the long table at Glenfern or under the Baradari. The à la carte and the café list run wider, and the evenings bring candlelight dinners and the bonfire.

We absolutely loved the property, the thoughtfully curated activities, and the constant care and attention given to our 18-month old. Mr. and Mrs. Puri are truly gems. Their dogs were simply adorable and added such a lovely charm to the experience.
If I ever saw nature’s haven, this was it. The birds, the trees, the architecture, everything came together beautifully to make our little wedding a dream come true. The food is absolutely incredible.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making our stay truly relaxing. Evenings were magical, the movie night at Baradari and leisurely walks on the enchanting lawn made the experience even more special.
Rooms were comfortable, staff is most helpful and always available, the property is beautiful, food was great and so many activities to choose from. The morning outdoor tea and evening swim was the cherry on top.
